The Lions club of Bolpur-Santiniketan is situated in the auspicious land of Gurudeva Rabindranath Tagore, the first noble laureate in Asia. This is the land where the mind is without fear and the head is always held high.His dream institution Visva-Bharati (now a central university)meaning universal brotherhood, is a true place of a international learning in Art & Culture. Santiniketan is also the birth place of noble laureate Dr.Amartya Sen having his basic education here only. The place has also given us the oscar winner Satyajit Ray and Late Prime minister Indira Gandhi.The people of Bolpur-Santiniketan truely believe in their heart, the motto of the Lions club international, that WE SERVE.
